All-Inclusive Manufacturer’s Warranty

Riding Times offers a 1-year, all-inclusive manufacturer's warranty for the owner against all manufacturing defects. (Note: Free accessories are not covered by the warranty.)

Warranty Period and Transfer Terms

The warranty is automatically registered when the initial purchaser orders and receives the product from our online shop and applies to the initial purchaser only.

For the warranty to be transferable to a new owner, the following conditions must be met:

  1. The 1-year warranty period must not have expired since the initial owner received the product.
  2. The new owner must have the initial purchaser’s name and the original order number.

Covered Products

Riding Times will replace any component deemed defective or damaged (including damage incurred during shipment), except in cases of user error. The warranty covers the following products and follows the terms below:

Frame

  • The ebike and scooter frames are covered by a replacement warranty for 1-year.
  • The warranty includes a replacement frame only. Labor charges associated with transferring parts to replacement frames are not included.
  • Riding Times reserves the right to use scratch and dent stock when replacing a frame under this warranty. Frame styles and/or colors not in stock may be replaced with a compatible style and/or color at Riding Times’ discretion.

Exclusions:

  • Corrosion
  • Paint fade, scratches, and impact marks
  • Impact damage
  • Non-reversible modification (e.g., drilling or welding)
  • Chain guard mounted to the frame (if applicable)

Batteries

  • Riding Times batteries are covered by a 1-year prorated warranty.
  • In the first 1 year, a defective battery will be repaired or replaced at no cost to the customer. The warranty period for a repaired or replaced battery remains unchanged from the original purchase date.

Exclusions:

  • Defects or damage from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (e.g., stunt riding, racing), improper storage, exposure to liquids or chemicals, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
  • Private modifications.
  • Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage unless caused by Riding Times.
  • Products with removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or illegible serial numbers or barcodes.
  • Ordinary wear and tear.
  • Defects or damage from using non-approved accessories or improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment.
  • External causes like collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, weather exposure, theft, blown fuses, or improper electrical use.

Additional Battery Exclusions:

  • Charging with an inappropriate battery charger.
  • Improper use of the battery charger.
  • Broken or tampered battery seals.
  • Using the battery in equipment other than the specified bike or scooter.

Parts & Components

  • Original Riding Times parts and components are covered by a 1-year limited warranty. (Replacement of parts within the warranty period after 15 days from receipt of the bike will require shipping costs.)

Exclusions:

  • Parts compromised by corrosion due to element exposure (moisture, heat, etc.).
  • Damage or deterioration of the product's surface finish, appearance, or aesthetics.
  • Labor charges for part replacement or changeover.
  • Defects or damage from accidents, abuse, misuse, abnormal use (e.g., stunt riding, racing), improper storage, exposure to liquids or chemicals, neglect, or abnormal physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
  • Scratches, dents, and cosmetic damage not caused by Riding Times.
  • Products with removed, defaced, damaged, altered, or illegible serial numbers or barcodes.
  • Defects or damage from using non-approved accessories or improper assembly, testing, operation, maintenance, installation, service, repair, or adjustment.
  • External causes like collision, fire, flooding, windstorms, lightning, earthquakes, weather exposure, theft, blown fuses, or improper electrical use.
  • Ordinary wear and tear not resulting from defects in workmanship or materials (wear and tear can be assessed by Riding Times).

Claims Process

1. Warranty Claims

All warranty claims must be made through Riding Times and submitted to support@ridert.com. Proof of purchase and photos or videos of the damaged product must be submitted with any warranty request. Before filing a claim, contact Riding Times via support@ridert.com for potential simple fixes that may not necessitate filing a claim. Valid claims made within 1 year of the initial purchase will be processed through Riding Times.

Defective displays, batteries, motors, and controllers are eligible for replacement under the warranty. In case the damage is caused by a modified or damaged 3rd party accessory the customer covers shipping and labor costs, otherwise in normal circumstances warranty is provided free of charge to the client (shipping, labor, parts). In Riding Times will assist in coordinating the return process with the carrier. Defective accessories generally do not need to be returned unless specified by the individual vendor.

Riding Times will not replace any part without first seeing photos or video of the damaged product.

2. Shipping Damage Claims

If shipping damage occurs, contact support@ridert.com with photo or video proof. No free accessories are eligible for replacement or compensation if scratched during transportation. Note: Shipping damage claims must be filed within 7 days of product receipt.

3. Credit Card Chargebacks

If any ebike or escooter purchase becomes subject to a credit card chargeback, and the customer still possesses the ebike or escooter, this Limited Warranty will be invalidated until the credit card chargeback is resolved.

4. Visual Evidence Requirement

Riding Times will not replace any covered component under this Limited Warranty without first seeing photos or video of the damaged component.
